Just out of Curiousity, if a fan were to take the leaked version of Fighting is Magic and finishes it(Or atleast expounds upon it some) would that be ok or would you guys still catch flak from Hasbro for that?
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as someone who has followed this project from near the very beginning, I think it's a real stretch to assume that having an FAQ will actually mean people will READ it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a difficult question, because unless Mane6 can prove they weren't associated with the people who made it, Hasbro could pretty easily just say they didn't comply to the C&D and sue them anyways.

ReplyDeleteI believe that something like this happened with the Chrono Trigger fan game "Crimson Echoes". It got C&D'd when the game was almost complete, then the creators got hacked and someone posted a version of it online. Square-Enix couldn't stop it since the fan game's creators had done everything they could to keep it from happening.
